Congrats!
You just lost 13 years of life expectancy.
Sorry, did I break your concentration?
If you’ve been recently diagnosed with ADHD, you have a lot to digest, and you have some decisions to make.
First of all, how much can you do about it?
For instance, do you treat this diagnosis like some mild allergy, and maybe take the medication but change almost nothing else?
Or do you take a more serious approach, roll up your sleeves, and take an active part in what happens next?
From the terms of this question, you can probably guess what I think you should do. I have been diagnosed twice, about 20 years apart, and I’ve tried both approaches. I can tell you from experience that the allergy approach will cost you big time.
